Matrix
II Doctor Testimonials
The following testimonials are from medical practitioners that
have used the Matrix
II on their patients.
- I am an orthopedic surgeon practicing in B.C. and have been
in active practice of orthopedics for 13 years. I have considerable
experience in using electrical stimulation for non-unions.
At the request of Dr. M MacDonald, I utilized the Matrix
II on two patients. The first (B.B.) is a lady
with post-traumatic problem of her left elbow. She had a total
elbow replacement and presented with a nonunion of a distal
humeral fracture. After stimulation with the Matrix
II, she showed evidence of bony union which is
progressing in strength.
The second patient (G.V) is a 23 year old male with a congenital
pseudoarthrosis of his left tibia. He has had multiple fractures
and multiple surgical procedures. He started with the Matrix
II in December and when last see in September,
appeared to have solid bony union.
If I can offer further information with regards to this system,
I would be happy to do so. I am certainly very impressed with
the efficacy and would be prepared to use it in future cases.

- This is just a line to say how impressed and happy I have been
with the Matrix
II electrical bone stimulator for delayed and nonunion
of fractured bones.
It seems to be better than any of the others and is certainly
much more cost effective.

- I have had occasion to use Dr. Myron MacDonald's Matrix
II external Bone Stimulator in the treatment of
difficult non-unions. The clinical results in the majority of
these patients has been excellent. I have found Dr. MacDonald's
apparatus quite straight forward and reliable.
Yours Truly,
S. M., M.D., B.A., F.R.C.S. ( C )
- I have another Patient that would, I am sure, benefit from the
use of your Matrix
II system. This is a young man of 30 years who
is a commercial fisherman who has a fracture of the proximal shaft
of the right humerus which was sustained in September and which
is showing an hypertrophic non-union.
I propose to electrically stimulate the fracture and apply
a shoulder cast to immobilize the humerus and it would be much
appreciated if you would kindly send me another unit that I
can apply to this patient.
With many thanks and kind regards.
Yours truly,
F.C.H., M.D., Ch.B., F.R.C.S.
